Getting Started

Children can have the perfect start learning how to ride, with lessons that are safe, interesting and fun.
The ponies are well mannered and the staff all qualified. We provide the younger children with the means to take pony rides before progressing to lessons.
As children progress they can take proficiency tests in both riding and stable management, compete in gymkhanas, take part in competitions and games.
We provide courses of a week’s duration during the school holidays, giving each student up to 2 hours a day riding and caring for a pony.

Adult beginners of any age are shown how to ride by qualified staff in a safe environment.
We will advise you on what clothes to wear and riding hats are available from the office.
For the experienced student we provide lessons covering the following activities:

      riding out
      jumping
      competition.

Tuition is supplemented with both theoretical and practical stable management.
Riders are welcome to attend class, or privately with their own horses.
We also give Lunge Lessons.
If you wish to own your own horse we will advise you on all aspects of ownership, and can offer livery depending on your personal requirements.
